Line the containers with anti – static foam or pads to provide additional protection for the flex boards.

Ensure that the containers are stackable to save space in the storage area. However, when stacking the containers, be careful not to apply excessive pressure on the bottom containers, as this may damage the flex boards inside.

Proper Placement

When placing flex boards in storage containers, make sure they are not bent or folded beyond their recommended bending radius. Each board should be placed flat or in a slightly curved position that conforms to its natural flexibility. Avoid overcrowding the storage containers, as this can cause the boards to rub against each other and get damaged.

Inspection Before Storage

Before storing flex boards, it’s important to inspect them carefully for any signs of damage or defects. Check for scratches, creases, or broken components. Any damaged boards should be separated from the good ones and either repaired or discarded.

Long – Term Storage

For long – term storage, additional precautions may be required. Consider vacuum – sealing the flex boards in anti – static bags to provide an extra layer of protection against moisture and oxygen. Oxygen can cause oxidation of the conductive traces, which can degrade the performance of the boards over time.

Store the vacuum – sealed bags in a cool, dry place, and make sure to periodically check on the boards to ensure that they are still in good condition. If possible, use a nitrogen – filled storage chamber to further reduce the risk of oxidation.
